Our balcony in Saint-Tropez looked straight out over the ocean, with a pathway
running just below. Mornings were for coffee, evenings for wine, watching people
pass by and quietly imagining their stories, or why they’d ended up in Saint-Tropez at
all. The afternoons were our favourite. European summer evenings unfolding slowly,
people carrying takeaway, setting up impromptu picnics, or an influencer or two
chasing the perfect shot. It was endlessly fascinating. The sunsets were something
else entirely, blues softening into purples in a way that felt almost ethereal. The sun
dipping low, saying goodnight, while music drifted across the beach and people
danced barefoot in the sand, warm wind kissing your sun-soaked skin. A grounding,
wholesome feeling that stays with you.
